Use of the site
After adding products to your basket, enter your promo code during checkout.
It is currently not possible to leave a project from within the site interface. Please contact us so we can assist you.
No, there is currently no mobile app.
However, the Symfuse website has been adapted for use on mobile devices. It is still more convenient to design your pages on a computer.
Prices
- Collaborative payment: each participant pays for their pages.
- One-off payment: the project organiser pays for the entire first copy, and participants do not pay for their pages.
With collaborative payment, up to 2 pages cost €5, or up to 5 cost €10. If you add one page to your basket, a second prepaid page is added after payment for later use.
Yes, you can pay for another participant's pages in a public project.
Open the "Participants" tab and select the book icon in the "Action" column to view their pages. Select a page, then "Add to basket". You can then pay for it at checkout as if it were your own.
Project contributions are refundable for 14 days under our terms.
Collaborative payment: Delivery is free for the main order of a hardcover book. Delivery charges apply to staple-bound books with fewer than 22 pages and to additional copies.
One-off payment: Delivery charges apply.
Orders
Yes. Once the book is ready to print, you can order additional copies. Participants can add their copies to the main order or have them delivered to a different address. Open the "My orders" tab in the project and add the required number of copies to your basket.
Yes. You can order additional copies from the "My orders" section of a project even after it has ended.
Once an order is confirmed and sent to print, it cannot be cancelled.
You can change an order's delivery address until it has been processed by our printer.
Open the project's "My orders" tab, then select "Details" for the order. You can change the delivery address if the order status is not "In progress".
Once the order is confirmed, our printer processes it within 3 to 5 working days. Delivery then takes approximately 3 to 5 working days in metropolitan France. Allow 10 working days in total for metropolitan France and an additional 1 to 5 working days for other destinations.
For organisers
Yes. You can give selected participants additional permissions, such as approving pages or creating the cover. Open the "Participants" tab in your project, then select the ️ icon next to a participant.
Yes. Paid pages must be approved before being added to the book.
Open "Pages to review" when pages await review. If you reject a page, its creator will be notified and can edit it before resubmitting.
Yes. Use the "Arrange pages" tab, which appears once at least one page has been paid for and approved.
In a public project, all participants can view one another's pages and the final book. In a private project, only the organiser and authorised participants can view other participants' pages.
Once your project contains at least 8 approved pages, select "Finalise project" at the top right. Books with fewer than 22 pages use staple binding because hardcover binding requires at least 22 pages.
The book format depends on the number of pages.
From 8 to 21 pages, the book is staple-bound with a cover thicker than the pages. From 22 pages, the book is printed in hardcover format, similar to a comic book.
In all cases, the book measures 20 cm x 20 cm and is printed on glossy photo paper.
